What are fire-rated door requirements in Singapore?

They include: (1) fire-rated doors must meet the fire resistance requirements of the code; (2) they should be fitted with an automatic self-closing device; (3) they can be held open by a fusible link or an electromagnetic or electromechanical device, which can be activated with the use of a smoke detector or the building's alarm system; (4) The hinge of the fire door should be approved; (5) they should be fitted in an opening and provided as a means of escape, so it should also be capable of being opened manually; (6) the specifications of fire-rated doors are: minimum clear opening should be 850 mm wide, the door should open no less than 90 degrees, and there should be no change in floor level close to the exit.
